Ministries

Junior Cantor

Beginning third grade, students have the opportunity to join Junior Cantors , directed by Carli Arington, the school music teacher. Practice takes place after school each Thursday and the group sings at Wednesday school mass and occasionally for parish functions.

Altar Server

Beginning fourth grade, students may train and become an altar server, contributing to both St. Mary’s Catholic Parish and the school.

Lector

Beginning sixth grade, students may train and serve as a lector at school mass.

Service Projects

St. Mary’s Catholic School students participate in school-wide and classroom service projects. These vary from year to year, but include:

  • Thanksgiving Food Baskets

  • Christmas Tree of Love - Coin Drive

  • Environmental Recycling

  • Support for Seminarians

  • Natural Disaster Relief

  • Fall Fest

  • Volunteer work for NERA and the Humane Society

  • Stamp Out Starvation

  • Band

  • Piano

  • Cooking Class

  • Yearbook/Photography

  • STEM
